Some really good work onboard Pilgrim has been undertaken by our volunteer maintenance crew – updating the deck cover (with some well thought through additions) for potential events this summer, re-marking the anchor chain (whilst cleaning out under the floors in the boson’s locker/chain area (not a nice job), finish painting the top mast prior to re-installation, oiling the side railing and taking down the mizzen gaff ready for treating.
A couple of special shout-outs, one to Tim for going above and beyond over several days in a fight to fit a new water pump to the port engine, and Roger for (in addition to his maintenance help) providing much welcomed bacon butties and cake!
