We’re looking for a volunteer Young Sailor Programme Design Lead to help us build a brand-new youth sailing and adventure programme aboard Pilgrim of Brixham — a historic 1895 sailing vessel based right here in Brixham, Devon.
Pilgrim is heading into a major refit this winter, ready to welcome her first young sailors in 2027. We need someone who understands the power of sailing and adventure to change young lives — helping us develop the “Pilgrim Pioneers’ Programme” by designing courses that build confidence, teamwork, leadership and resilience for young people from all backgrounds, including those facing disadvantage.
It’s a flexible, mostly remote volunteer role — around a day a week, or a concentrated burst of work, whatever suits you. Experience in sail training, outdoor education, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award schemes, or youth programme design would be brilliant.
