Pilgrim Open Day

Visit Pilgrim – Free Guided Tours

We welcome visitors to Pilgrim on our public Open Days, or by prior arrangement for School or College visits and for Clubs and Private Groups.

Pilgrim is the oldest surviving trawler built and rigged in Brixham. Visitors can come aboard and see how they did things in 1895 and explore Brixham’s unique fishing and sailing heritage.

2024 Open Day Dates

  • Sunday 14th April
  • Monday 6th May
  • Sunday 19th May
  • Monday 27th May
  • Wednesday 31st July
  • Monday 26th August
  • Sunday 15th September

Opening times are usually 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm

Our Tour Guides will tell you all about Pilgrim and the part she played in the fishing industry in late Victorian Brixham. You will also be able to find out what Pilgrim did and where she went for 87 years between 1912 and when she returned to Brixham in 1999. After that there’s the amazing story of her restoration and her travels since she started sailing again in 2013.
